Barbados selectors like their West Indian counterparts are still of the opinion that 50 over cricket is about hitting fours and sixes.
Here we have Shane Moseley..the LEADING batsman for Bdos in the 4 day competition but CANNOT even make the 50 over SQUAD.
The selectors in their wisdom ??? ( just like last year with one RYAN WIGGINS batting at NUMBER 4 in a BARBADOS FOUR DAY TEAM…lord have mercy !!,even Jacob Bethell would have perform better ),decided to include one Omar Philips ..TO DO WHAT SELECTORS ????…SHANE MOSELEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PICKED AS THE OPENER.
Justin Greaves too it appears was not even in the SQUAD…don’t know if he is injured… BUT ..outside of Jason Holder and leading up to the Super 50 WAS THE LEADING ALL ROUNDER IN THE REGION.

Now Keemo Paul has taken over that role in his absence.

Braff man,ya got me baffled by your choice of bowlers. Why was Chase ( a TEST bowler with a 5 for ) not given the ball ? you continued to handle both Stoute and Williams badly….seeing that Carter wasn’t used AS A BOWLER leading up to the final,I would have played him as the keeper instead of Walcott who by then you should have realized that he is TOO SLOW for a keeper at this level.
Even the commentators alluded to that fact and which was confirmed by that regulation dropped catch in the dying stages…..BUT Carter bowled brilliantly yesterday
…and why was Walsh named in the SQUAD far less in the FINAL X1?…in a four day SQUAD YES…but NOT in an ODI team
….but with those players assembled in Antigua I would have preferred Harding for Holder of course and an extra batsman for Walcott.

Braff is a conservative Skipper and always make very poor decisions. Barbados came up 30 runs short.

Too many dot balls, that is Barbados problem period.

I suppose Barbados today will write the full story that is longer than a sentence.
