Is this a fake number plate , what is wrong with vehicle registration then, isn’t there computer data registration , people know who the car belongs to are we that backward in Barbados , if so that is shameful…………….

The report never said that the police doesn’t know the name of the owner(or who it is registered to), it says they want to locate the owner. Knowing a person’s name and listed address doesn’t guarantee that you will locate them when you want to.

    What about the VIN? Police.

Is it a case of a poorly written story.

If it is not a fake license plate as jr surmised, then a more appropriate statement should be:

“Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating ——-, the registered owner of a blue Suzuki Ignis motor car license plate # X5327 last known address ————.

If it is a fake license plate then the VIN # as per hcalndre should help.

lord have mercy on these people. (jrsmith.hcalndre, alex Alleyne)the police ask for assistance in locating the owner, not who is the owner.right now the owner could be out of the country.can the vin or registration tell you where the owner is.pls understand what you read

I think police trying to find the owner (the physical person), not who owns the car.

Yes TOMMY A, your comments are supported!……those three persons you identified do have quite a bit of bad luck when it comes to thinking.
