Why was that pupil’s personal belongings searched by security after so many past incidences have occurred among secondary school children ?

Two years now the BSTU pleading with the Ministry of Education for a sit down to deal with violence. In 9 years the quarterly meetings that previous administrations kept with the Unions to get feed-back from teachers on the challenges that they were experiencing in the schools have not been held. And to think the three top persons in the Min of Education, Harry Husbands, Ronald Jones, and karen Best, were unions leaders of some sort. The focus is on one person rather than the hundreds and thousands of teachers and children, respectively. But Ronald, Karen, and Harry love children and want the best for them. A goat triune.

The Ministry does not have any creative ideas to deal with the problems so they are not going to meet with people because they would get show up. They cant risk getting their egos bruised

Why is it that some of you are not blaming the students themselves and their parents. By the time the children reach school they are a finished product. Unless of course you can show that the school is making them violent. Lets get to the root cause.

@jrsmith I agree that something needs to be done but I don’t think that installing metal detectors in schools will work mainly because the children will find stash spots out of school and wait for said person the have a grudge with and stab them. I think that the buses do have cameras in them but its just that they are not monitored sufficient.

Men needed in the Schools. Men like Major Barker

Too many frighten lil girls teaching in Schools
They cannot cope. Women are usually too weak to deal with youngsters who are a litle deviant . They cannot even control 3 year olds far less and all a child does need is a firm hand. That experiment with females is over. They cannot cope. THATS YOUR PROBLEM right there.

Bring some men , pay them well and get results
    MEN
    MEN
    MEN

    YOU ! Barbados Gone then
    Women getting push
    Men getting marginalized.
The youngsters know they can get away with Crap so they taking advantage.
Things like the Cat 9 tail , tamarind rod, the strap. The things were used for a reason. Children were flogged for a reason. That was then when children were not as bad , now children are worse but somebody would say DONT HIT THEM , Its Violence. Dont hit them but nothing is in place.

Barbados is in a bad way.
Trust me everything is in a MESS.
NOTHING IS WORKING THE WAY IT SHOULD

    MEDIOCRITY IS KING
    People just about MONEY
THE PUBLIC SERVICE IS A MESS
    PRIVATE -No BETTER.
Corey of Brasstacks was shocked and Upset about what he heard concerning the schools.
He would be equally shocked if he knew about other nefarious things in both the Public Service and Private Sector too. Bobol rampant bout Bim.. Yuh tink Barbados easy? Yuh aint know boy. The Schools aint the only place.

It is time for good men to get up and LEAD

Expel the GUILTY and banned them from attending any Government School for 8 years. Those involved in the stabbings on that bus expel them too,ban them from boarding any Government owned bus for 8 years and also ban them from attending any Government School for 8 years.
Let their parents FUND their transportation and their EDUCATION.
Transferring those bullies and criminals to other Schools is tantamount to transferring the problems…suspending them for them to return to the Schools would make them heroes for some and to strike fear in others.

Put the BDF and Task force in the schools. These children arent scared of anyone not even God himself. When the children step out of line put them outside to do bootcamp for the day. By the time school is finished they will be too tired to do anything but sleep. Discipline is needed back in the schools but these children need soldiers to realign them. The average joe cant deal with them. Let the soldiers also deal with the ignorant parents who wish their children to be taught but you cant give them any discipline. Let them show up at the school and deal with a soldier instead of scaring a teacher who is trying their best.
