Carpenter accused of assaulting policewoman

A 47-year-old carpenter was granted $2,000 bail when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today on a criminal charge.

Lawrence McDonald Gittens is accused of assaulting Police Constable Tisha Walton in the execution of her duties on February 11.

The Clifton Hill, St Thomas resident pleaded not guilty to the charge which was read to him by Magistrate Douglas Frederick.

Gittens was ordered to return to court on May 23 after there was no objection to bail by Sergeant Theodore McClean and his surety was accepted.

    i realize that as long as its a woman, no matter her occupation/status, men believe they have the AUTHORITY to put hands on them, but i want y’all to know wunna int butt the right policewoman yet.
