UPDATE: Husband and wife charged with wrongful confinement of daughter

A husband and wife charged with wrongful confinement, of their 19-year-old daughter, were granted $5,000 each today when they appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Antonio Marcus Fitzpatrick, 49, and Stacy Fitzpatrick, 47, both of Brereton, St Philip, are accused of committing the offence between July 1, 2017, and February 7, 2018.

The two, who are represented by attorney-at-law Karen Best, were not required to plead to the joint charge, read by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, as it allegedly occurred in the District ‘C’ jurisdiction.

On Wednesday, police, acting on a tip off, visited the residence of the Fitzpatricks. During their investigation, the daughter was discovered in a locked room in a malnourished state, with her hair very unkempt.

She was subsequently transported to the state-run Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.

Both accused will make their next appearance in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on February 13.

Those two look just like jungle animals.

Did they already have animal cages for them in prison or did they have to hurry up and construct the cages to hold the animals ?

This is Barbados like we have never seen it before.
    Surprised????
    You ain’t see nothing yet.
Wait till the crooked Barbados Labour Party grabs power from the careful hands of the DLP, we would not have time to laugh at what Trump is doing in the United States. We would have our own Clown and Puppet show going on here.
Its already a fake, spreading fake news big time, at the behest of the BLP PR Committee.
We all view the dispatches on WhatApp with some notably recognized voices from the entertainment world doing the disparaging and slanderous descriptions of only members of the Democratic Labour Party. I have not seen any yet about the BLP and its slate of weak candidates. Not one.

i glad this come out tho! If y’all know how many more cases there are like this, shock is not even the word that would describe it. These old farts, that set in their old ass ways, bout if a girl child meet a man, she got to bring he home first and you got to wait til you married to have sex and all this hogwash that does barely exist today, need to live their own lives and realize that this is 2018, the age of technological followers and “i want what i see somebody else wid” times. So because you brought up your girl child one way does not mean she will continue on that path, cause at the end of the day, so many things influence young people in general to stray, so locking up a 19 year old girl child int going stop her from trying things out of your (society) comprehension. Talking bout demons, if the young lady has demons ALL of them come from you and ya man.
