Police search minibus

Police confirm that officers stopped a minibus travelling to Speightstown, St Peter this morning to conduct a search.

Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler told Barbados TODAY that the officers were acting  on a tip that students on board the bus had a weapon.

He however dismissed reports that at least four knives were found during the search.

Investigations are continuing.
