Wesley Hall infants and juniors schools close early

Classes ended early today at the Wesley Hall infants and junior schools, located at King Street, St Michael.

The decision taken by the Ministry of Education came after students and staff were being affected by smoke coming from a nearby laundry, Tropical Laundries on Country Road.

When Barbados TODAY visited the school, officials from the Ministry of Education, including Parliamentary Secretary Senator Harcourt Husbands; Chief Education Officer Karen Best and her deputy Joy Adamson were meeting with principal of the junior school Herbert Gittens and Katrina Wooding-Small, the principal of the Wesley Hall Infants.
