Scores march in memory of Damien ‘Dappa’ Taylor

Scores, including members of the local entertainment fraternity, braved the rains this morning in memory of Damien ‘Dappa’ Taylor who passed away last week.

Taylor, who was involved in a three-vehicle smash-up along the ABC Highway, died on December 29.

A member of the Ruk-A-Tuk band, Taylor was also an upcoming disc jockey and martial artist, who represented Barbados in the World Taekwondo Championships in South Korea.

He recently earned a Bachelor’s in Law from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus and was pursuing a law certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago.

Today’s march went by Massy Rendezvous along Rockley Golf Club Road, onto Dayrell’s Road then to the Garrison Savannah.

Entertainer Mac Fingall (partly hidden) was among those taking part in today’s march.

@CCC; I know you are from another planet, you and yours are afraid of marches but there are plenty more to come, that`s the reason that your people want Barbados to be a police state. Cordon off areas and Curfews laws, do you know that the KKK is never prohibited from holding their marches in the US?

@ Carson you seem to be in hypersensitive mode. not every march is about your DLP. Sometimes you need to give it a REST.

@ milli watt, no need to get aggressive, Mark just figure you made an error.
@ Carson C. Cadogan, sometime you can be so insensitive. Did you read the article. If they had held a candle light vigil instead of the march, what would be your response.
