the cow itch plant also know as Velvet Bean, has medicinal properties, and as such is used in various types of homepathic and ayurvedic medicines. I wouldnt expect most bajans to know this.

Valerie Knight oh please do tell since the number must be alot. Normal weed does nothing to no one. When you LACE it..or in other words MIX IT with harder drugs like say cocaine, heroin, and other messed up concoctions, thats when mental health starts to become a problem. Also if you are genetically vulnerable you have to worry about your mental health. But please..share these statistics on how many people suffer mental complications due to using weed ALONE.

For all those arguing weed is just a plant and kills no one, you are actually on all accounts wrong. Since weed is illegal, there is a drug war going on amongst said drug dealers in the country for both profit and control of the street market. With that said all those guns coming into the country are also part of that drug war. Although the act of smoking may not kill you if you smoke it in its natural form, being caught up in the illegal sale of weed and the street war it brings does kill plenty of ppl when those drug deals go wrong and ppl are caught in the cross walk of fire. Sorry but in the end it’s all how you look at things and perception. You can’t complain about the guns and shootings without looking at the drug war going on. It’s all cause and effect and don’t close your eyes to one thing and have another’s eye open, that kind of seeing may lead you to walk into a wall.

Its time to legalize weed for all weed user’s. Issues them a license to grow 6 plant’s for personal use. Contract with a local growers to supply to plant’s. Look to Colorado for the know how. Only longtime smoker should apply. We don’t want a country of weed heads by issuing license to everyone.

bk . Hello . I am responding to your comment

The people of this Country hates knowledge. They would not respond to you saying that the cow itch plant has such properties We have a whole heap of ignorant people right now in Barbados .
They are as much enslaved as their fore parents. We need an Errol Barrow now more than ever. Corey Lane – Talk Show host is the closest thing to Errol Barrow in his outlook that we have around here as a young Leader.

    Alex Alleyne Sir !
The War on Drugs has been lost a long time now.
A lot of Alcohol is consumed here in Barbados . People use these things to relax their nerves and give them good feelings. They need to ask the former Central Bank Governor how to feel good ‘ naturally ‘ without drugs or alcohol. They can also check with the Seven Day Adventists for advice and the Muslim and Hindu Communities for advice on how to feel good without artificial substances. Any Eastern Religion practioner even Martial Arts experts/teachers and Fitness instructor can advise on how to achieve ‘ good ‘feelings’ without ingesting artificial substances. And last but not least Christians who would advise Prayer and Supplication . Pray and fast for good feelings. People need to seek knowledge and leave the foolish alcohol drinking and marijuana smoking. Smoking and inhalation of smoke in itself is not good even if there is a high to be had. Smoking is bad period !

There is not a truer statement than this.
THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR. The LAST people on the earth to be using any MORE drugs is black people. God knows they are already high up on many drugs – (systems, philosophies and lies) already causing them poverty and disenfranchisement. A weakened, unfocused, out of sync black man is a treasure to many and a debilitating factor to his family and community. The vast majority of black women have ingested lies and is clearly of it, compromised, and comatose with nighties on too, with no rescuer in sight.

What we clearly need as a people is affirmative action to balance the wealth scales. Which by the way is no where in sight, seeing that our governmental leaders are drug-ed out headless on the same gunk. But then again why bother with affirmative action when you can’t even get your minds stabilize.

Ok let’s see how this investigations gine go because public hears about police seizures of drugs and weapons but magically no one is arrested nor charge in fact public never hears anything about those cases after initial story.Got a gut suspicion if these are bottom feeders low hanging fruit public might hear about it but if it’s fruit higher up the tree fruit public will never hear about it again.Just keeping it real because this is how things work in Barbados.

Take a good look at the Movie the GODFATHER , part one. Where one guy said “He don’t want no drugs near the SCHOOLS or selling to CHILDREN. Keep it in the BLACK community, let them kill themselves, they are animals anyway.
