Prison officer charged

A 47-year-old prison officer is due to appear in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court today on a criminal charge.

Melvin MacDonald Goodman, of Bathsheba, St Joseph and Todds Land, St George, is accused of unlawfully taking a number of food items into Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds for an inmate.

The offence reportedly occurred on December 16.

    The inmate need proper food. Some will say if he need proper food stay , away from prison

    Getting charged for smuggling FOOD? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read!

      Big man…drugs CAN BE SMUGGLED in FOOD containers too !! yours’ IS the most ridiculous things I have ever read

    I was hoping to reading “charged for taking drugs in prison for inmate”.
    But FOOD,,,,,, maybe it’s his friend who love sweet bread and black pudding-n-souse”.
    Did he wash it down with a nice “grog”.????????????????????.

    Yam pie is the word of the day for those boys at Christmas but the aromaticly spiced aroma will give you away! As you know country folks love to make a yam pie for Christmas it’s a Josephine and Georgian thing. Better luck next time “Me Brudda”!
