Female cook admits to assaulting Chefette co-worker

A 37-year-old cook, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her former co-worker while on the job, is out on $2,500 bail.

Sharon Natasha Knight, of Greaves Land, Goodland, St Michael, owned up to assaulting Nicole Reid on June 25, 2016, occasioning her actual bodily harm.

The two women, according to prosecutor Sergeant Rudy Pilgrim, were former friends and worked together at Chefette, Harbour Road. However, they got into a fight on the aforementioned date while on duty, which resulted in Knight hitting Reid over the eye with an unknown objected which was concealed in a plastic bag.

Reid retaliated but Knight continued hitting her about the body. They were separated and police were summoned.

Knight told Magistrate Douglas Frederick that she and Reid had a falling out over a work related issue.

The magistrate then adjourned that matter until January 12, when Reid is scheduled to appear in court.
