An unemployed man, who is accused of rape charge, was today released on $5,000 bail.

Jermaine Ryan Gill, 28, of Haynes Hill, Mapp Hill, St Michael, is alleged to have had sexual intercourse with a woman on December 2, without her consent.

There was no objection to bail when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant with his attorney Angella Mitchell-Gittens.

However, Gill was warned to stay away from his alleged victim and to report to the District ‘A’ police station every Wednesday before noon with valid identification.

His case continues in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on March 29.
