Teen charged with unlawful wounding

A St Michael teen, accused of committing an indictable offence, was granted $8,000 bail today.

Zebulin Jahlani Sawh, 16, of 1st Avenue, Greaves Land, Goodland, is charged with unlawfully wounding Daniel John on November 24 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do some serious bodily harm to him.

He was not required to plead to the charge which was read out to him by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Sawh, who makes his next appearance in court on March 14, must now report to the Black Rock Police Station every Wednesday before noon with valid identification.

He was also been warned to stay away from John and his property.
