Police make breakthrough in investigations into Silver Hill shooting

Police have made a major breakthrough in their investigations into the shooting death of 34-year-old Andrew Prescod of Welches, Oistins, Christ Church.

A 22-year-old St Michael man is currently in custody assisting police in their investigations.

Prescod and two females, 21 and 29 years old respectively, were shot while liming in Silver Hill, Christ Church with other persons on Saturday, October 21. Prescod was shot in the head, the 21-year-old female was shot in her right knee and the 29-year-old female was grazed by a bullet on her chin.

They were all rushed to hospital where Prescod died a day later.

    Why not give the police a raise in pay for being consistent in solving crime? Even though they are still being considered as “not special” by the BLP and the DLP governments who have not done anything for the police with pay increase in over a decade and more. When these law enforcing men and women become seriously corrupt, we will see the true wrath of crime in Barbados.

    Good work RBPF That is a good idea, a raise for these workers who are getting the job done.
    I see the waterworks employees are getting back money for Xmas, the sewage on the streets and burst pipes every where . still they are getting money. How about some back money for the Police.

    We need to start a system of pay for performance. Start with the Police.!!!!!!!!!
