Black Rock man pleads guilty to stealing vitamins

A 46-year-old man will spend the next eight months behinds bars for theft.

Paul Amron Cherubin, of St Stephen’s Hill, Black Rock, St Michael, pleaded guilty to stealing five tubes of Seven Seas Haliborange vitamins, worth $91.95, belonging to Massy Barbados Limited.

Cherubin was kept under observation when he entered the establishment with a backpack and a plastic bag on November 14.

He went to the aisle where the items were displayed, took them up and placed them in the bag he was carrying. He was detained and later charged.

“I am on drugs . . . cocaine . . . . I really need help,” Cherubin, who is known to the criminal justice system, told Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today.

As part of his sentence, he must also enroll in the drug rehabilitation programme at HMP Dodds.
