Man held with four guns and 99 rounds of ammo

A St Michael man is due to appear in the District ‘A’ Court here on Thursday charged with a number of gun and drug related offences.

He is 34-year-old Ryan Jason Greene, of Pile Bay, Spring Garden, who was arrested and charged after members of the Anti-Gun Unit executed a search warrant at his residence.

During the search three firearms and 32 rounds of the ammunition were discovered. A subsequent search of his motorcar revealed a fourth firearm and 67 rounds of ammunition.

As a result, Greene now faces four counts of unlawful possession of four firearms and two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition.

He has also been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of cannabis.

Lol. With the calibre of weapons being toted, Clint Eastwood would have to upgrade! It’s a cause for concern, just found what you asked funny.

There is obvious need to change the law to add the charge of possession with intent to supply.

When the law maker becomes the law brakes we have a problem. Still to hear or see if the senior officer turns up to the station as he suppose to.

Carlos Holligan Be careful how you compare apples with oranges.
The case you are referring to may not be a simple one of illegal possession.

In some states in the USA it is not illegal to own or purchase a gun without a license. In a few states citizens and also allowed to openly carry loaded firearms without license. But unlike Barbados the citizens are majority white.

Be specific as it depends on the firearm. Not all can be purchased without a license.

You can openly carry guns in a lot of African states and in the Middle East too. You forget to mention those “white” places too. As usual you come with your load of rubbish that has absolutely no relevance to Barbados .

I don’t get some of we own ppl. What do heck does what go on in USA have to do with Barbados. Everything that happened in the USA ( which have 50 states) them want to do in Barbados, yet some these same ppl don’t want nothing to do with following the laws of England, England or the Queen. Do wunna understand the amount of crime that goes on in the USA? Do you all understand the drug and gang violence? The massive incarceration of Black men in the USA? Do you all understand that although some states have open carry laws, what applies to white and their ability to freely carry a gun, does not apply to blacks often times leading blacks to be harasse, few occasions getting killed? The problem with Barbados already is it’s trying to hard to become Americanize which is leading to the deterioration of the country. Let Barbados be Barbados.

People are killing people not the guns. If you take away the guns people will find other weapons to use . We need to find out why people are killing each other at such a high rate and stop focusing on what weapon is being used

Even the smallest child knows that the drug /gang men are arming themselves to protect what’s theirs . Swords, knives and rocks would’nt do such a “good” job. Can’t you even see most of the killings are retaliation killings ? Or executions would be a better word. .

Whatever happened to Richard Arthur the former BLP candidate in the May 21st 2003 general elections. I do believe he was arrested sometime ago for allegedly possessing a quanltity of guns and ammunition. Type in your address bar ” Owen Built a state of the art prison for brother Richard Arthur”. All these people were BEES……not Dems….BEES.I have not heard a word on the outcome of that case.

Who knows please say , is there a proceeds of crime act in barbados … this would mean these criminal will all end up broke , making sure crime doesn’t pay……………..
