Double curfew

Two men accused of handling stolen property

Two St Michael men, separately accused of handling the same stolen property, have each been released on $8,000 bail, with daily curfews.

Jeffery Rico Grant, 25, of Biddy’s Lane, Halls Road is accused of assisting in the retention of a stolen article on August 23, namely a pendant belonging to Henderson Inniss.

It is also alleged that Rasheed Akeem Mathurin, 22, of Cave Hill received the pendant the day before, knowing it to be stolen.

The two men, who appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, were not required to plead to the indictable charge.

With no objection made to their bail, they were released after their sureties were accepted.

The duo was also placed on 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfews and will make their next appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on February 13 next year.
