Police investigate unnatural death of Canadian visitor

Police are investigating the unnatural death of a Canadian visitor at Rockley Beach, Christ Church around 2:45 p.m.

According to lawmen, the lifeguard on duty was alerted that the 82-year-old male was lying on the sand unresponsive. CPR was performed and an ambulance was summoned.

The Canadian was then rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he subsequently died.

    So how is this an unnatural death @ 72 lying on the sand ,no signs of a struggle or anything why can’t it be natural death ,heart attack

      Because until cause of death is established they have to treat it as unnatural until proven otherwise.

      I agree the wording is odd. Why not state…Police are investigating the death of xyx, at this time cause of death is unknown. Stating it is an unnatural death before any investigation to support said statement sounds bonkers.

      How hard is it to understand that legally before an autopsy and cause of death determined they have to say its unnatural

      It seem as though,You must die on a hospital bed for it to be natural

    Pple before cause of death is determined and a legal autopsy conducted they have to use that term unless they can be sure what caused the death ie stabbing,shooting,car accident etc

    It’s a death. Not ‘natural’ or ‘unnatural’ until the autopsy determines it so.

    May he rest in peace and we wish that his love one are notified ASAP! At least he must have enjoyed his short stay if it was, the sunny sea side, and the beach .
