Youth organization to march against declining morals

Hundreds of young people and adults will take to the streets of The City on Saturday to declare their concerns about declining values and morals in Barbados.

Dubbed Stand Up, Step Out, the march and rally, organized by the youth organization Hannah’s Mission, in association with Youth For Christ Barbados, will leave Independence Square at 4 p.m., travel  along Wharf Road, onto Broad Street and back to Independence Square.

At the end of the march, the organizers have arranged a rally that will highlight worship, dance and declarations with the aim of “taking back the rainbow”, whose colours are associated with the gay movement.

Founder of Hannah’s Mission Margaret Abrahams is urging all who turn out to wear clothing that reflect the colours of the rainbow as well as to bring a $2 donation which will be given to children in need. At the rally, senior folk from the 11 parishes will also be honoured.

I must support this march 100 per cent.

We must resist all those people – inside or outside of our country – whose intentions are to greater import into Barbados the evil and destructive imperialist agendas of the Eurocentric West: of population control, social destabilization, cultural assimilation and political economic exploitation of especially smaller regions including Barbados.

All Christian and other religious groupings, their leaders and their congregants and communities must take all necessary steps to make sure that the moral and spiritual fabric of our country is protected as much as possible.

“destructive imperialist agendas of the Eurocentric West: of population control, social destabilization, cultural assimilation and political economic exploitation…” that’s a pretty good definition of Christianity
