You tell no lie. Where gangs and drugs concern, it’s either revenge killings or about territory or turf disputes.

  11. Saga Boy October 23, 2017 at 12:41 am

Some of you are really rediculous. These drug dealers continue to rob each other; sell drugs and don’t pay; kill each other to take over territories and kill revenge. Now tell me how can the AG stop this? Introduce courses on how to treat honestly with fellow drug dealers and conflict resolution for drug lords? How many of you do anything in the community in which you live to reduce the drug trade? Many of you just talk and do nothing.

St.Lucia recorded 42 murders for the year to date on 20th Oct 2017.

SVG 3rd October 2017 – The execution-style killing of a man in Campden Park Tuesday night has brought to 33 St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ homicide count for 2017.

When I and I think of righteousness in the sight of solidarity there are many things that springs to mind:
    Truth, consciousness, dignity,
    Accepting, solving, humanity, empathy,
    Life, freedom, progress, reverence
    Soul Understanding Unconditional love…………….
The Violence and the Hate are lies, for they go against the truth of our faith, humanity and destroy all dignity and conscience.

  17. DE October 23, 2017 at 12:44 pm

@Saga Boy, I was beginning to be impress with you recent publications, but I am disappointed with today’s publications.
This AG like the past AG do not want to commit themselves to any legislation when it comes to crime. They need to introduce some stiff zero tolerance punishment. Rather than saying “The penalty for Guns or drugs is xyz”, they say “the penalty for guns or drugs is a maximum of xyz and minimum of xyz”. So persons can get the minimum sentence and be happy. You have to make they sentencing uncomfortable.

    My condolence cuz.

  19. Saga Boy October 23, 2017 at 2:42 pm

@DE. Please do your literature review on the subject matter and you will see that there is no direct correlation between harsher penalties as a deterrent of crime.

Have a look at Jamaica in particular. There is a lot of information out there. I challenge you to show me where your suggestions have works.

The below quotation came from one such study:

“By most statistical measures, Latin America’s mano dura (iron fist) approach to crime has failed. The tough sentencing policies and draconian prison regimes adopted by most countries in recent decades have had almost no evident impact on crime rates. Even as prison populations in the region have skyrocketed, soaring homicide rates have made Latin America the most violent region in the world.”

  20. DE October 23, 2017 at 4:22 pm

@Saga Boy, that is the mistake that you, the AG and many other are making. You all are using penalties as a deterrent. Penalties are punishment for the wrong doers.
Saga Boy, studies can be misled information that benefit some countries and some people. You have to understand what some of these studies do to other country. Check and see where the studies are done and by whom they are done. Check and see if any of the third world countries are involve in any of the studies that you are speaking about. They might collect the information to try it. That is why the third world countries are now falling apart.

I may be wrong, but I never heard of this young man in any thing yet. I can’t believe it. Just a couple of days ago he was telling me about walking in the rain without an umbrella.

  22. Helicopter(8P) October 23, 2017 at 4:49 pm

Seems to be a concentrated nucleus of shootings in that neck of the woods and hits are well thought out!

  23. Saga Boy October 23, 2017 at 5:37 pm

@DE read the literature on crime in Toronto a city with a very low crime rate. Provide me with the evidence that stiff penalties lead to lower crime rates.

  24. DE October 23, 2017 at 6:47 pm

@Saga Boy, you are loosing concentration. It was never said that stiffer penalties lead to lower crime rate. Your statement on Toronto crime rate is exactly what I am outlining to you. What is Toronto doing that the other countries are not doing?
I hope that you are not getting offended and tearing up your shirt.

  25. DE October 23, 2017 at 6:51 pm

I would like to see the day when I can leave home as I like without having any fear of being struck with a stray bullet or anything of that sort.
