Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith has been appointed to the Post of Commissioner of Police.

In a brief notice moments ago, Police Public Relations Officer acting Inspector Roland Cobbler said the appointment will take effect on Sunday, October 1.

Griffith has been acting as the island’s top cop since June 2013, having taken over the role from Darwin Dottin who was sent on leave and only officially retired last year.

I hope and trust you will have a fulfilling and rewarding stinct and keep your integrity intact. Also do whatever it takes to make our beautiful island the envy of the Caribbean and wider world where Law and Order is concerned. Right now there is too much reckless on our streets. Everybody seems to be a law unto themselves.
    Congrats once again!

A prayer for the Commissioner of Police

Tyrone Griffith, man born of woman and exhalted by God. May God Almighty grant you the wisdom of Solomon, the humility of Moses and the discernment, strength and courage of Esther. May Jehovah’s loyal Cherubins protect you and your household as they stand ever watchful, guarding for any foe that plots against you, Tyrone Griffith, God’s chosen leader for the Royal Barbados Police Force. May you acknowledge with your heart that your Office has been commissioned by the Most High God and that His will shall be done by your hands and in His name. May you acknowledge and accept with pensive prayer and humility, that your stewardship will be over the saved and the unsaved, the holy and the unholy, the good and the evil, the righteous and the unrighteous. Therefore submit yourself to God and be washed in the blood of His Lamb. Be anointed with His Holy Spirit and be saved by His grace. Walk with a pure heart and clean hands in His Shechinah light and be a becon for His kingdom. Let the loyal heavenly angels sing ‘Amen, Amen and Amen’. In the name of Christ Jesus let what is here written resound in the heavens. So let it be. Amen and Amen.

In Barbados its difficult to do the right thing and with all the congrats and what a decent man that he may be, they are things that he can`t touch. Only last week a NY., white and married politician whose father is a billionaire was sentenced to jail for texting a minor. When in Barbados you would ever see a politician or their friends go to jail?
