Holder transferred to Dodds

A 38-year-old woman, who recently denied committing two criminal offences, has been transferred from the Psychiatric Hospital to Dodds Prison.

Mellisa Jacintha Holder, of no fixed place of abode, had pleaded not guilty of stealing $100 from Sherwin Redman on September 12 and to having an apparatus in her possession on the same day for the misuse of cocaine.

However, she was remanded to jail today by Magistrate Douglas Frederick after spending three weeks in the Black Rock mental institution where she was assessed by doctors.

Holder is scheduled to reappear in court on October 25.

Does this woman look like a someone to be placed in jail?this woman needs a social worker, some one who can do a needs assessment, and see how they can help to turn her life around.
Look at her hair, she is poor proably homeless, when you don’t have anywhere to live you have to do what you can to survive.
People like her need support to get back on the road to redemption, you can’t put a police in jail, but you can put a homeless woman in jail, the justice system has failed, she needs help not prison.
