St George man charged with murder

A St George man will appear in the Oistins Magistrate’s Court tomorrow charged with murder and a string of other offences.

Twenty-eight-year-old Damien Rommel Springer, of Judes, is accused of fatally shooting Shawn Taylor at Mullion Lane, Gall Hill, Christ Church on August 21.

Springer is also charged with one count of causing serious bodily harm; two counts of endangering life; one count of use of a firearm; one count of unlawful possession of a firearm; one count of unlawful possession of twelve rounds of ammunition and one count of aggravated burglary.

    @Alex Alleyne; Only 15 years for such heinous crimes? Murder, unlawful use of a firearm and other counts, the gun possession alone could be 10 and the murder 25 plus the other charges should he be found guilty, is easily looking at 40 years.

      That is how the system in Bdos is where it is the norm for people to think that a murderer because of the system should only get 15 years.
      He should get LIFE IN PRISON since nobody is hang these days.Later on the Mercy Committee seeking to do something to live up to its name might recommend his release after 20 years
      Of all the inmates at DODDS why are the members of that Committee always targeting the MURDERERS for MERCY ?

    Listen guys, most of the murderers are walking the road free as a bird. You all know and see how thing run in BIM right now . So I looking a 15 years after his Lawyer “BAMBOOZLE” the system.
