Not only shootings but botching an incident seen! Come on Barbados we were a more literate or should I say educated society in the twentieth century. You may have done the victim more harm than good by transporting them in a privately owned vehicle.

@Hellicopter(8P); A person gets shot and you are saying that getting the person to the only medical facility (QEH) would be doing more harm that good in a private vehicle. I agree that the private vehicle do not have the equipment but time is important in emergencies in many cases. First Barbados don`t have a response time so that`s the problem. I know of some one who died a few years ago because the family could not get an ambulance and I heard a host asking if the family could not get a friend or the neighbor with a vehicle, the person went into a diabetic coma and no one was held responsible.

now if I could get at least another fifty of these shootings between this bad man crowd by year end it would not be a bad thing. I would encourage all war parties to continue to do the good job they are doing. Would want to encourage them to be more accurate but keep on keeping on.

I have no problem with one idiot wannabe “gangsta” eliminating another idiot wannabe “gangsta”.

Eventually they will wipe each other out.

What I have a problem with is the indiscriminate shooting in public with no regard for the lives of innocent people.

And you trust the Government statistics. The same Government that is deceiving you. More Britians stay at home now and I know for sure as I own a rental property and the demand has grown as our friends have discovered. With regards London there is more to see and do here than the once Beautiful Island I grew up on for 30 years. Please open your eyes to your reality

Blame all past governments, if they had trained and developed this people on self knowledge and to build and manufacture instead of looking for books = crumbs, they would not be killing each other and still depending on the almighty tourist dollar.

Buddy seems happy living in a racist society where black people are second class citizens we don’t have that here in Barbados he is sad because inspite of the recent crime we are still happier than him.

@Mazie – I can see with some of what you are saying (one just have to look). But I must add that racism has 3 tiers. And Blacks in Barbados falls under one of them. And blacks will usually respond in of two ways retreat or join, very few will disengage.

@Mazie; Barbados have the Class problem in a big way and had the race problem at one time, I don`t know of today because bajans were taught to stay in their place and you would never hear them complaining.

@Milli – what are you talking about – treaties with trump. Are u serious????????? Not when the death penalty, public killings and lynchings all exist in that place. This government can’t be that stupid. Then they should make it legal to carry guns for self defense too. Look at them supremacist lot in Charlottesville and skin heads with them AK’s last week. At least them got a purpose and target.

It is about time to band all guns in Barbados only countries that allows licensed firearms has this level of gun violence.
    Barbadians need to wake up…
Stop following the United States of America.
Band all guns then there will be no reason for anyone to have guns.
Anyone caught with a gun would be dealt with severely……………
If you own a gun you are 20 times more likely to be killed by gun licensed or not a simple fact.
Just band them, look at the statistics of the countries that has banned guns and the answer would be clear as day.
Before I forget the idiots that is going to start saying people kill people not guns.
They would kill a lot less with out guns.

All these gun, all the talk about customs, seaport and airport but I have not heard any one talk about investigating the Legal Gun Importer that we have in Barbados.
Does any one remember the incident with the Gun Importer that was caught with all those high powered guns in his possession that was not registered.
I wonder was had become of that case.

Barbados is seen more as “Class structured” and not so high on “race”. If you got big dollars you can buy and live where you like without any problem. In other parts of the world , no matter how much money you have you can face problems by neighbours moving or writing on your door or you might even get a cross burn on your lawn. Property value drop, Just to name a few.
