One year behind bars for burglary

A 22-year-old St Andrew man yesterday began a 12-month sentence at Dodds prison for burglary.

But the time that Kadeem Onan Vaughan has already spent on remand will be taken into consideration.

The Belleplaine Road resident pleaded guilty back in July to entering Bhana and Sons as a trespasser and stealing 18 cellular phones worth $9,182, a speaker worth $50, a portable charger worth $125, and $42 in cash.

His co-accused, 22-year-old Errol Nathaniel Boxill of Coggins Hill, St Andrew, is still to know his fate. He is currently out on $9,000 bail.
