Pastor arrested on sex charges

KINGSTON – The Kingston pastor who was being sought by the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) for allegedly repeatedly having sex with a 12-year-old girl before impregnating her, is now in jail.

Kenneth Blake, 52, pastor of the Harvest Temple Apostolic Church, located on Slipe Pen Road, was this morning arrested and charged with rape, forcible abduction, grievous sexual assault, sexual touching and sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old.

Blake was charged after he surrendered to investigators at CISOCA.

He was accompanied by his attorney and members of his congregation, law enforcement sources revealed.

The pastor is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on August 22.

The Gleaner reported last week that the now 14-year-old victim has given investigators a detailed statement in which she alleged that Blake initially forced himself on to her before he began to reward her after their sexual encounters.

“He would give her money and other gifts so that she would not tell anyone,” one source revealed.

However, according to the source, the alleged sexual relationship came to light in June this year when the 14-year-old discovered that she was pregnant and confessed everything to her mother.

According to law-enforcement sources, the pastor is engaged to the mother of the 14-year-old girl.

One source said the child reported that she would often visit the clergyman’s St Andrew home to look for her older sister, who was sent to live with the pastor “due to the lack of convenience at her mother’s home”.

She reported that during one of those visits in 2015, the pastor sent her older sister to downtown Kingston before having sexual intercourse with her against her will.

According to her account, the clergyman also supplied her with money and other gifts before their sexual encounters ended in April this year.

Why are these men of God allowing the enemy to get them to.bring shame to God. It’s a spirit that needs deliverance, but most of these pastors don’t preach deliverance or hell so how can they even be healed? They have a spirit of lust and perversion and some know but before they cry out to God and get help they allow the enemy to deceive them with they eyes. Smh its real sadden very very sudden.

A lot of these so call men of god entered the ministry for their own sake, they were never called by god , so the preach their own doctrine, instead of winning souls for god,so the holy father deliver them in the hands of the devil,it is their shame, not god’s, because in this business of winning souls, you have to be pure or the devil will take you.

So true Ashanda Coward ! They are not fully grounded in Christ none of these pastors don’t preached about deliverance . Elders and church members as well in every church are committing sexual sin some are doing it openly and some are undercovered .

Why do people seem to rejoice when they hear about a pastor involved in any thing. Being a Pastor does not make you a super being, he is still a man and can still have a spirit of lust. Most do not protect themselves against this kind of thing because they probably feel that they can do it on their own. Any pastor should have another person that he is accountable to and need deliverance for things they have difficulty with. For several years I used to hear one pastor say that he constantly asked God to take control of his sex organ and his eyes, he never did interviews with females behind a closed door, another person had to be near. He made sure that he covered himself, he died recently and nobody ever had anything to say about him and women. The enemy uses sexual sin against them because he knows it’s easy to get them on that. It’s sin against your own body and your body is the temple so how best to defile it. They need to not trust in their own ability and protect themselves. Why do people talk about not believing in a pastor? no one should believe in a Pastor, you believe in God. When we had white priest in pulpits that taught you nothing there was no problem but since the advent of black people in pulpits, it’s as though there is a set of people who are always ready for their downfall. The men who will criticise them have also committed sexual sin many times, so sin is sin. It’s sad when these things happen but that is to detract us. Hope its a lesson for others to seek healing and protect themselves. The spirit of lust isn’t going to pass you by because you preach.

These leaders are not learning too many leaders are falling, because instead of studying God’s word, praying and fasting, they are studying how to manipulate young girls and get in their drawers.
Yet parents have a role to play as well, stop trusting men of God with your kids, and next level where is his wife?
There needs to be stiffer penalties for men of the cloth, because when you can’t trust men of God with your kids who can you trust?

Wait, he real smart with himself tho. He engaged to the mother, an older sister live at him, and he having sex with the 14 year old.
So, therefore he take over all the women on that family, boy he living it up.

You mean to tell me that even if the conditions at home weren’t good enough for all of them, the older sister don’t have grand parents, or an aunt, or better yet, her father ?

This mother that he engaged to, I honestly believe that she knew what was happening. No doubt !!

One big issue this pastor would not be arrested is he was in barbados , it would be covered up and finish with,,, the parents who belong to these churches and allow the pastors to molest they children in the name of god are the most evil , wicked bible whackers …………
But then what would you expect of people who think a rainbow or lightning is a miracle………………………….
