Man and woman injured in Fairchild Street shooting

 

Two people were shot and injured in a shooting incident in The City this evening.

According to police, a 41-year-old woman received a gunshot injury to her foot and a man said to be in his late 30s  received two gunshots, one to his foot and the other to his back.

Police say the assailant who knows the male victim opened fire in the area of the Fairchild Street Market.

The female was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance and the man by private vehicle.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 430-7189, or 430-7190. Police Emergency at telephone number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800 – 8477, or the nearest police station.

    Police say the assailant who knows the male victim.
    If the victim knows the assailant why not ask the victim instead of asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 430-7189, or 430-7190. Police Emergency at telephone number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800 – 8477, or the nearest police station.
