Keep him away from me, says alleged victim

A man who has been calling HMP Dodds home for the past year was released today after his alleged victim said she no longer wanted to pursue an indecency charge against him.

The woman however made it clear to Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant that she wanted Winston Rudolph Alleyne, of no fixed place of abode, to stay at least “40 yards” away from her at all times.

“I just want you to warn him. I am no longer interested in the matter but I want him to keep 40 yards off me,” the woman said, adding that Alleyne was in the habit of interfering with her.

“Every time he sees me on the street, [he must] stay 40 yards from me, if not I am going to come back to you,” she told the magistrate, who issued a warning to Alleyne before allowing him to walk out of the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Alleyne, who was not allowed to plead to the indictable charge, had been on remand since July 12 last year.
