Shooting mars Crop Over climax

As the 2017 Crop Over festival climaxes today, there are reports of a shooting in the area of Waterford, St Michael.

Barbados TODAY understands that the victim was shot in the foot by a police officer.

However, details are still sketchy and all that Public Relations Officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler would say at this stage is that lawmen are investigating reports of violent incidents, including a stabbing, as the island’s premier cultural festival draws to a close.

If the police had shoot him elsewhere and he died foolish Bajans would want the policeman charged with murder! We’ve lost all reason and common sense!

If the police are under threat then so are of us!

The Police needs to start being transparent with their public relations and media briefings. The media must demand that the RBPF give regular and timely briefing on these incidents of national importance. Police should have given at least 3 0r 4 briefings and updates between 6 PM and 10 Pm this evening, informing the citizens and residents of Barbados, through the media, what has happened and what is going on in real time.

@Bajan!!!!! You just Maliciciousing, in North America, you are Told when they want to tell you, what they do tell you is that there is an ongoing Police Investigation.
Why do you want the Police in Barbados to speak before they have all the Facts of what is/has happened ???.

Why are you so eager to make them look Incompetant ???
