Boyce sent up for 28 days

A 26-year-old St Lucy man is to spend the next 28 days behind bars after he was remanded to Dodds prison on gun and ammunition charges.

It is alleged that Ramon Rheco Renaldo Boyce of Peterses Gap, Josey Hill had in his possession on July 30, a firearm and five rounds of ammunition, without a valid licence.

Boyce, who was represented by attorney-at-law Shadia Simpson, was arrested during a police operation in the area of Collins, St Peter where an “illegal fete” was reportedly held.

He appeared before Magistrate Wanda Blair Wednesday in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court and is expected to make his second appearance on August 30.
