Teens remanded

Two St Michael teenagers have been remanded to jail on a charge of robbery.

Khalil Lavar Hurley of Scotts Gap, Brittons Hill and Ranaco Fabico Bovell of Villa Road are jointly accused of robbing Frederick Powlett of a bicycle, a bag, a laptop, a pair of sunglasses, two flash drives, two cell phones, one ring, $10 in cash and an identification card on July 17, 2017.

The teens were not required to plead to the indictable offence when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.

However, Hurley pleaded guilty to an additional charge of breaking and entering the home of Patricia Taylor on July 17, 2017, while Bovell denied robbing Jamar Powlett of $427 in cash on September 16, 2016.

Both men were remanded to prison until August 18, 2017.
