Two charged after row at police station

Two women must keep the peace for the next 12 months or pay a fine of $1,500 after pleading guilty to causing a disturbance at Central Police Station.

Nataline Natiena Belgrave of Browne’s Gap, Passage Road, St Michael, and Iyesha Regina Gibbs of Jordan’s Road, Fitts Village, St James appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant Monday, following the incident last Saturday.

In imposing the bond on the women, Cuffy-Sargeant chided them for the brazen nature of their behaviour at the police station.

“The two of you are very bold. In the presence of police you were carrying on in that way?” she said.

Belgrave was also charged with assaulting Andrew Boyce on the same date, as well as damaging his shirt.

She pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted $7,000 bail with one surety.
