Woman accused of serious indecency against mentally challenged man

A 36-year-old woman is currently on $7,000 bail after appearing in a Bridgetown Court yesterday accused of committing an act of serious indecency against a mentally challenged man.

Kira Nakeisha Cassandra Gill of #12 Habour Hill, Pinelands, St Michael went before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant charged with allegedly committing the offence on June 5.

She was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

There were no objections from the police prosecutor to Gill being granted bail, and she was released when the court accepted her two sureties.

Gill will make her second appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on September 6.

In a separate matter, Winston Adolphus Brathwaite of Eversley Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael was not required to plead to a wounding charge.

The 59-year-old landscaper is accused of causing serious bodily harm to Rawle Cumberbatch with intent to maim, disfigure, or disable him, or to do some serious bodily harm to him.

There were no objections to bail from the police prosecutor Sergeant Cameron Gibbons, and Brathwaite was released on a $9,000 surety. But he was ordered to stay away from the complainant and his property.

He makes his second appearance before Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant on September 7.

If not for social media , what she did to that man would of been only hearsay or you would of have to been there to see . Then she might of gotten away with it and people would of had a joke at his expense. I hate to see disabled people being ill treated. The other thing is that the man may or may not have contracted a STI/ STD from her as that is a very serious possibility .

This is what I said just now. Had not for social media this would have gone unnoticed. In this era of social media anything can be exposed. It has it advantages and disadvantages so people need to choose wisely .Behaviors should be on the P’ s and Q’ s. It is ok to say you dont care. Then when caught you want worldwide sympathy

This is total abuse of a mentally challenge person and she should be punished to the full extent of the law. We need to be a more loving and caring people. Let us all hope that she has some remorse and realize that she truly hurt another human being with her behavior for her own selfish pleasure.

This is a mess and I don’t know what to say but a full investigation need to be carried out cause if it is true she was drunk and drink was spied someone needs to be charged for that having her to react in such a manner so they need to get down to the nitty gritty of it all. Wouldn’t like her to get charge of she act of innocence and if not and she took advantage of him for laughs make an example fair is fair and those other involve need to be brought to justice. Our system need to get more serious….

She went live week before (I think) talking about it and ranting about how she was drinking and enjoying herself. She was even low-key bragging about getting her “pussy eat” and said it multiple times. Not once did she mention thinking that her drink was spiked and she had full recall of the situation, so I don’t think she was all that drunk either.

How can cell phones be ruining lives. A cell phone didn’t do the act, it was just used to show how low our morals have sunk.

@ Earl Crichlow, I bet to differ, the cellphone is getting a bad rap the same the television did in the early days of it’s existence. It’s because of the cellphone that these types of wickedness are being exposed to the light that would have otherwise been swept under the carpet or remained hidden in the closet. When stupid people, wicked and arrogant people commit those kind of acts and other dispicable acts and whole heartedly believe that they are untouchable or won’t be caught, the cellphone is what has brought them to justice, we just had a classic example that would has otherwise be ignored and treated as just another school dispute. So like everything else the cellphone has it’s place, people are to blame, not the technology…that’s just my view.

Lots of people thought that was funny, just goes to show the deprived behavior of some people. Is it the water or the hot sun that have some people so dam illiterate. I see grown men alongside the street arguing about childish things. I honestly think barbados got a long way to go to get some people to act like humans, instead of behaving like wild animals. She should be charged for that awful behavior. If the guy is mentally ill, he would think she is his friend.

First off I will say she was dead wrong. But what I want to know is where the supposed care takers of this mentally challenged boy does be. I personally know him from being I the van stand and yes he slow but he got he good sense. I sat and heard him talking bout How he goes into the strip clubs and pays d girls to suck them. So that’s sain he likes.(I’m not saying its right) my thing is that he is allowed to roam as he pleases doing whatever he feels to and when trouble comes the mentally challenged card is played . Well if he can’t be blamed for his actions I firmly believe the person/s responsible should be held accountable. Cause in my opinion the things he doing getting worse and worse and he knows it ain’t no repercussions for him cause like he loves to say ” if ya touch me I gine get wanna charge and get money out of ya.”
