Bootman denies wounding charge

A 24-year-old woman was granted $3,000 bail yesterday after she appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on a wounding charge.

Sarafina Kanisha Bootman of Vaughan’s Land #1, St Joseph is accused of wounding Demi Brown-Bowen on June 3 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable her or to cause some serious bodily harm to her.

The unemployed woman told Magistrate Douglas Frederick she was not guilty of the charge.

With no objections to bail from the police prosecutor Sergeant Martin Rock, she was released on a $3,000 surety to return to court on September 13.
