Bus driver escapes injury after collision

Transport Board bus driver David Best escaped injury after being involved in an accident along Fairchild Street, in the vicinity of Tistal Laundry and Dry Cleaners around 7:30 a.m. today.

Best, 55, of Clevedale Road, Black Rock, St Michael was the lone occupant of the bus at the time of the incident.

According to police, Best was trying to avoid hitting two men who were fighting on the road, when he lost control of the bus, collided with two parked vehicles and then crashing into the building housing Tistal Laundry and Dry Cleaners.

Police are continuing their investigations.

    stupse…….dat bus does run up by me early bus on morning no wonder no bus ain’t here yet. got to start walking after a long weekend

    This news item was incorrect. That building hit the bus. the building wrong.

    Lawd mek peace!! If I were driving that bus I wold have just braked it in place! What could have happened to me? Nothing ! As a Public transport vehicle there should be no obstruction in it route of service by deviant persons!

    dem ppl laways fighting and drinks in dem head bout dey so. What a shame and what a lost. So gald no one was seriously hurt.
