Primary school ballers in the spotlight

There were victories for Sharon Primary, St Stephen’s Primary, West Terrace Primary and St Albans Primary at the Orange Hill, St James playing field today, as action continued in the BICO-sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Football Tournament.

In the first game played, 2015 champions St Stephen’s easily defeated St Matthew’s 3-0. In the second match played Sharon beat Good Shepherd 2-0. In the third encounter at the ground St Albans won 2-0 over St James and in the final match West Terrace had a narrow 1-0 victory over Welches.

In other games played in the tournament today, Grantley Prescod defeated Hillaby Turner’s Hall 4-1; St Joseph and Holy innocents drew 2-2; Lawrence T Gay defeated Eagle Hall 1-0; St Mary’s beat Trinity 1-0; Gordon Walters won 1-0 against St Luke’s Brighton; St Philip drew 2-2 with Blackman & Gollop; A DaCosta Edwards and St Elizabeth also drew 2-2; Eden Lodge defeated Grazettes 1-0; and former champions Wesley Hall drew 1-1 with Deacons.
