There’s a new King and Queen at the Graydon Sealy Secondary School.

Sheda Bryan and Ishan Wilson beat out 13 other contestants to take the coveted titles last Saturday night during the school’s annual competition.

However, copping the crowns was no easy feat for the King and Queen as they faced stiff competition throughout the night. Nevertheless, the two adequately executed in all segments including School Pride, Icons and Avant Guard.

Male winner Wilson was clearly at the top of his game in all segments as he copped the top award in all. However, in the female section, the prizes were more even distributed.

Second runners up were Janiyah Hart and Jalen Batson while first runners up went to Tara-Ann Clarke and Kiros Graham. Other contestants were Brittany Gunning, Sharese Clarke, Michael Cadogan, Cherish Joseph, Kaneil Cummings, Kellyann Byer, Hackeem Maynard, Kaisha Wilkinson and Naomi Norville.

The model search contestants were not the only ones on show that night as the school also staged its annual singing competition, which featured the beautiful voices of some of the students.

Neesha Welch emerged queen of that competition singing Whitney Houston’s Greatest Love of All. Rachel Walcott, who was last year’s model search winner, was second with the gospel hit He’ll Do It Again. Aryanna Lewis was third with Feeling Good.
