Bail for Brathwaite and Hurley
Two men who appeared in a Bridgetown court Tuesday, accused of separate offences, have been released on bail.
Michael Anthony Brathwaite of Storey Gap, Codrington Hill, St Michael is charged with inflicting serious bodily harm on Winston Beckles with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do him some serious bodily harm, on February 19.
The 45-year-old was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
With no objections from police prosecutor Station Sergeant Martin Rock, he was granted bail in the sum on $3,000, which he secured with one surety.
Meanwhile, Jabari Michael Hurley of Block 12K, Farm Road, Deacons Farm, St Michael was also granted the same bail sum when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.
The 32-year-old denied wounding Jamal Nurse on February 8.
The two men are scheduled to make their second appearances before Magistrate Douglas Frederick on June 1.
