What about the finger prints ,this can then be matched against the local and international criminal data base , or I am too far ahead , dreaming..this is simple technology all over the world…….

jrsmith you are assuming that there are clear fingerprints on the gun and that they belong to someone who already has been into contact with the criminal justice system. The only way prints can be matched is if there are prints to match them against.

@Natasha Scantlebure!!!!! One firearm, 34 rounds of ammunition, two magazines, a firearm cleaning kit, will now NOT be used to Maim of Murder anyone, amd all you can see is that the Age of the perpretrator is incorrect, i guess that Matters more to you, than the removal of ILLEGAL GUNS and Ammunition from the Streets of Barbados.

WoW !!!!!!! have a Safe Day.

@jrsmith, Joy, harry turnover, mickee, Bajan boy, this is all Moot if as i suspect, thereis NO Criminal Database in Barbados (Subject to correction) so we would not have anything to cross reference fingeerpriints with even if we had any.
Do any of you know if Barbados Has a Database, and if they do (I Doubt it) are they registered with IAFIS,IFRG or CODIS, Otherwise they wont ever catch any significant International Criminals.

Some of you, should have a chat with Yolande Forde about Barbados’ involvement, or lack of it in these organisations.

All accused persons are fingerprinted once convicted in the Courts of Barbados and the fingerprints are kept on file. That’s one reason why there are fingerprints experts in the Police Force.
