Cyclist hurt in crash with ZR

A cyclist was rushed to hospital this evening in serious condition after he collided with a ZR on Lower Collymore Rock, St Michael.

Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred around 6PM, involving ZR247, which plies the Silver Hill/Gall Hill route.

No other injuries were reported.

    I may be wrong but I would not be surprised if that pedal cyclist had no lights, was wearing black clothing, and was dilly dallying
    under the influence on the road which was not properly lit either. Looks like a child’s bike, No headlamp nor license badge or disc.

    Oh by the way I would like Barbados Today to put a warning notice informing all drivers that lots more children with their new bikes will be on the roads especially just after Christmas day. They will be new to this and we have to keep our eyes peeled especially in residential areas. Especially drunk drivers.

    Phil, you beat me to it.

    No lights on the bike was my first thought, something which be compulsory. I’m more people aren’t killed at night

    I hope, however that the guy will be ok

    Riding a bicycle on the same streets as vehicular traffic is like playing Russian Roulette.
