Today, the focus was on debushing the area surrounding a bus stop.

Residents had complained that with the overgrown bush, the area was unsafe, especially at night, since there is no lighting. The area is also prone to flooding.

This is a good, thoughtful and meaningful task. It would have been even more so if let’s say a few private enterprise companies such as The Williams Group, PreConco, some youth organizations, and even the Government, to come out, lend a hand and MOST importantly show Barbadian unity. Great opportunity for Mark Williams and Mark Maloney to work alongside each other. Not with cutlass in hand though…LOL.

    Excellent example of leadership!
Kudos to the honorable MP and her team!
But the residents of Bridgefield should also make the effort to keep their surroundings clean since it affects them.

What a great service to our Tourism brand! In no way our public bus stops should be overrun and obscured by bush and shrubs. National pride should be showcased by Transport Board Bus conductors and drivers reporting those bus stops as public safety hazards. I would wish that a all bus stops be observed for the safety record.
