Coconut vendor in custody

courtA coconut vendor was today remanded to HMP Dodds on several drug charges.

Ricardo Antonio Powlett, 30, of Glebe, St George was not required to enter a plea when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick, charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation of cannabis.

It is also alleged that Powlett was in possession of an apparatus – namely a pair of scissors – with intent to use in connection with “the misuse of the controlled drug cannabis.”

The offences allegedly occurred today.

However, Powlett’s case, which was heard in the No 1 District “A” Magistrates Court was, transferred to the District “B” Magistrates Court. He will appear there on August 22, 2016.

    More of these guys need to be arrested and taken off the street for stealing coconuts rather than marijuana seeds.
    someday we hear of some one being hurt or worse over the illegal poaching peoples coconuts.They do it day in and day out,and are quite confrontal when caught or approached.
