Cox accused of stealing over $60,000 from Crown

todays courtA Canewood Road, Jackson, St Michael man appeared in a Bridgetown Court earlier today, charged with stealing over $60,000 from the Crown.

Patrick Charles Cox was not required to plead to either of the two indictable charges which Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant read to him in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Cox is accused of stealing $61, 577 belonging to the Crown and later engaging in money laundering, by disposing of the same funds, which were the proceeds of crime.

The offences were allegedly committed sometime between June 18 and December 31, 2014.

Cox, who was represented by attorney-at-law Satcha Kissoon, was granted $60, 000 bail, ordered to hand over his travel documents and report to a police station twice weekly.

He returns to court on August 29.

    Bajans seems to have another degree up they sleeves , (thieving ).But they are just learning from our Politicians…

    Yea sometime last year or year b4 we had a man suppose to be a very respeted man and try to csrry way and old man money so its d samething so i agree with you
