Three facing firearm charges

Three young men will spend the next 28 days on remand at HMP Dodds after they appeared in court on firearm-related charges this afternoon.

Tremaine Alexander Christico Marshall, 19, of Block 1K Nursery Close, Eden Lodge, St Michael; 22-year-old Xavier Obadele Rashad King of Ocean View, Bush Hall, St Michael and Davon Marlon Williams, 25, of Patience Drive, Eden Lodge, St Michael were all remanded to prison by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant when they appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court.

The trio stood solemnly in the dock as the magistrate read out the three offences for which they are jointly charged.

They were not required to plead to the charges of using a firearm while committing an indictable offence, as well as wounding Richie Codrington and Gary Lewis with intent to maim, disfigure or disable them.

The alleged incidents all took place on April 16, 2016.

Attorney-at-law Angela Mitchell Gittens appeared on behalf of Williams.

The three men will return to court on May 18.

    I truly hope there is a wider investigation going on as to where the guns came from & how they got in to Barbados.
