@Barbados Today you need to do a story on this issue of these missing teens. Let people understand why where how etc these teen girls/boys go “missing”. Are they any Adults responsible for the situation, housing or even kidnapping of these young ones? It’s like a disease a contagious one. #shedsomelight

There is more to this story than meets the eye. Makes one wonder if there isn’t some kind of organization that lures these girls into prostitution and drug use.. This is a very serious situation.

When it’s all said and done, there is a serious problem within the society that hides the real reason behind this kind of behavior, stop sweeping it away, deal with it for the crime that it is, Gossip doesn’t solve it, ignoring it doesn’t work, the problem is real.

@Barbadostoday, You keep refusing to post my mail on the missing girls issue. Over and over again it has been done . I never list any names or in my article . All I keep asking for is a follow up by the RBPF on information on where these young girls were hanging out and if any adults will be charged.

Here in Canada a challenge was on with the teens here. it was running away to see who can get the most publicity and cause the most panic for the parents, i see the trend going on there. i am wondering if it is a secret subject at the school, fine the connection and the problem will be solve….

  48. Lise Hansen
Lise Hansen February 21, 2016 at 10:49 pm

do WE – the readers – really need to know the full story? All we need to know that they have been found – and are safe…… Let the police and parents do the rest …..

  49. Dan Bu February 21, 2016 at 10:52 pm

The press or police should picture, name & shame these girls or at least the people offering them a place to keep out of sight. I fear one day that this could be a ‘boy who cried wolf’ scenario & a child goes missing genuinely, however the public won’t take much notice thinking they’ve heard it all before until it’s too late.

    • Donild Trimp February 24, 2016 at 2:03 pm

Dan Bu the girls are all under juveniles in the eyes of the law.

How are you going to publish their names, pictures etc; without running afoul of the law?

Cannot do what you are advocating above.

  51. Yvonne A Morris February 22, 2016 at 7:45 am

Oh those girls were not missing they were just “FREQUENTING”.
Haven’t you heard of it !! Read the articles when it is reported in the Press…..known to frequent such and such a place or district.
Just frequenting !! Pray for our young people. Pray for our Nation!!

  52. unavailable February 22, 2016 at 8:48 am

these girls were never missing. i could bet they were not found in the same clothes they left home in so they had full knowledge they were not coming back. these girls just leave home for a few days go by a man and come back in a few days, nothing new here. i actually saw on of the girls few days ago and she looked happy and content. i guess she was missing just cause she wanted to be missed

  53. Lyn February 22, 2016 at 11:05 am

Thanking God that those girls were found safe.

However, when you look at the situation, there are so many unanswered questions?

We need to be more informed about what is really going on in our society……to our young girls and guys……..TV or no TV, real stuff is happening, and no one is talking.

Finally, we neeeeeeed to pray for our youth……and talk to them………….again and again.

    God bless.

Dis boy/girl crying wolf is dangerous. Well all know the story.

  55. tony Waterman February 23, 2016 at 12:40 am

@Lorraine Spooner!!! Couldn’t agree with you more, but let’s start at the beginning, my Deceased Mother always used to say, “If you want clear Water, you have to go to the Head of the Stream” so let’s start the Investigation at that School.

@Lyn!!! “Thanking God that those girls were found safe.” yes they were found, but i think it is a little premature to say that they are safe.

@Dan Bu!!! you are assuming that they will be ashamed of what they are doing, but to me it does NOT look like they are, what the Police should BY LAW be doing is Charging the Adult(s) living in that house for harbouring Under Age Children foe Sexual exploitation, because that in my mind is what is Happening here.

@Lise Hansen!!!so i guess that the old adage that it takes a village to raise a child has flown is no more ???

@Noel prescod!!!! You are getting HOT.

@Alex Alleyne!!! The Police have already satated that they were found in a House in the City, although they did NORT say where/which Street in the City, which makes me believe that it was in a SEEDY part of the City, and they want to keep that close until the Adult(s) from that house is/are investigated for wrong doing, or charged with some wrong doing.

as long as they want TOP UPS and DESIGNER Clothes, this will Happen, so don’t look for it to end anytime soon.
