Amputee returns to court

COURT TODAY BLOCKAfter appearing in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court last week on multiple charges, Michael Sylvester Marshall went before a Bridgetown court earlier yesterday.

Marshall, 41, of Belle Road, St Michael, was there to have four charges relating to the District ‘A’ Jurisdiction read to him. They were that on August 10 this year, he entered Margaret St John’s home as a trespasser and stole a gold chain and pendant valued at $1 000, a wedding ring set worth $20 000 and $70 cash.

Marshall, who has one hand, is further charged with having a gun, five rounds of ammunition and assaulting a policeman in the

execution of his duties.

He was not required to plead to any of the indictable matters and was returned to HMP Dodds until December 9, where he continues on remand.

Marshall appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

    If this man had two hands … lawd av mercy. I suppose he could only steal enough to carry in the one hand otherwise he would’ve rob she outta she house and home. Maybe he think because he only got one hand that the Judge gine have compassion pun he and only give half de time.
    I suggest that he don’t let he right hand know what he left hand do.
