Police seek help with probe into latest murder

Five days after the fatal shooting of businessman Stanley Michelini, 63, of Mount Stanford, St James police are no closer to a breakthrough and they have made another appeal to the public to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Michelini was reportedly robbed and shot twice by two masked armed assailants at his business place in Christie Village, Bucks, St Thomas last Friday.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In a statement, police asked anyone who may have been travelling along Highway 2A at its junction with Bucks St Thomas between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm on Friday the 25th of September 2015, who may have seen two suspicious men, or any suspicious vehicles in the area, or a bare back man running in the direction of Highway 2A, to contact Police Emergency at telephone number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), District ‘E’ Police Station at 419-1737 or 419-1730, or the nearest police station.

    I am patiently waiting to see what sentences the courts will impose in these recent gun men. Will the message be sent? I will wait and see.
