David Cameron arrives in Jamaica

KINGSTON –– Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in the island today at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

He is accompanied by Justine Greening, from the Department for International Development. Cameron was greeted by Chief of Defence Staff Major General Antony Anderson, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and British High Commissioner to Jamaica David Fitton.

Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, Minister of Justice Mark Golding and Minister of Transport and Works Omar Davies were also among those gathered.

Cameron is on a one-day official visit to the island where he is expected to address a joint sitting of the Houses of Parliament tomorrow.
