He said the name of the victim — said to be between the ages of 40 and 50 — was being withheld at this time. However, Barbados TODAY understands that the deceased woman, whose death is being treated as unnatural, is the sister of a senior police officer.

Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith was among those gathered at the scene this afternoon and he expressed condolences to the family of the victim. He also pledged to go after the perpetrator or perpetrators.

Clearly the request for information is not directed at those of us who are reading about it for the first time, rather it is for anyone who may have witnessed, heard something or have some knowledge of the crime!!!
