The Hilton hotel was a hive of activity this afternoon as personnel made final preparations for the arrival of regional leaders attending the 36th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)

Police were in place, craft vendors were busy setting up their wares and local, regional and international media practitioners were readying themselves for the opening ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.

On the inside of the Needhams Ballroom 1 performers were also busy tuning their vocal chords to serenade the officials.
